Balatoc Mines Adventure
Most memorable part of my trip, anyway Balatoc Mines is a gold mine outside Baguio City, its in the town of Itogon Benguet. I want to captured everything that time but I felt so nervous my friends and I are complete stranger in this place.
Alright, after 30 minutes jeepney ride, tadah here we are, an old town (photo) where population I guess was 1:10. only one for every ten individual was girl so the place outside the mine was really scary :| (I didn’t even saw thin man along the area)
Anyway, we went inside the mine but unfortunately were late its 2:30 and the last tour was 2 PM…. So sad, though tourist guide was really nice she let visit a little museum also took us photo wearing a miner suit :p
Camp John Hay
Historian said this place was designed by John Hay as the rest & recreational facility for the US Military and Department of Defense in the Far East. It was also used as their military headquarters when General Yamashita moved up north from Manila towards the end of the Japanese Occupation of the Philippines.
This place would be one of my favorite here in Baguio, Smell of pine trees, the cold weather what else? uhm… I think I need to explore more on my next visit, 3 days was not enough.
Lovely flower in Bell House garden, its a bell looking as well :)
Vintage stuff inside the Bell House
Bell House & Bell Amphitheater at Camp John Hay
Bell House serves as a museum of american colonial architecture and lifestyle, according to the security guards this place was reserved for generals and other high rank soldiers. In the main door I noticed a sealed (it was build since 1903).
Bell Amphitheater now a days are best place for a garden weddings but I heard during our visit, this place was designed by General J. Franklin Bell its was built so that soldiers can hear each other even they were in different locations. Friends and I tried this talking each other on different corner of the theater and yes its true :)
Cemetery of Negativism at Camp John Hay
Weird? We found some tombs with funny yet thought-provoking epitaphs inscribed on tombstones. Sometimes they called this place a Lost Cemetery, here you can bury your negative thoughts, emotions and traits and become a positive person as you live this hill, you can buy a coffin at the entrance gate XD
Bell Church
Chinese visits this place to pray for good fortune and health, this place is located between Baguio and La Trinidad.
Church of Saint Joseph at La Trinidad Benguet
Day 3 of our Baguio adventure, we attended sunday mass here. Visiting different churches is one of my goal in this travel.
Burnham Park
Friends and I enjoyed an hour boating for only 80 pesos. We bumped all the boats that comes our way intentionally and unintentionally ^^v
Baguio Botanical Garden <3
Wright Park
Just in front of The Mansion, lots of colorful horses, I am hungry that time, so lazy to take some photos or maybe I am not a fan of colored horses ^^v
